Student Housing
Student housing is a service offered to our first year students, to assist them in building community, and making the transition to college life a little bit easier.
Vanguard College leases several houses within a four block radius of the school, and offers them to students fully furnished, and ready to move in! Basic utilities are included which eliminates the confusion of having to set up service with multiple companies.
We feel that student housing is the ‘bes
t of both worlds’; students have the independence of living off campus, in a large house with their own room, while simultaneously building a sense of community that would be found in dorm life. Students are responsible for their own meals and groceries, and will have a full kitchen to practice their culinary skills with new friends!
Student housing costs $450 per month and is payable prior to each semester. A deposit of $450 is also required to secure their spot and will be returned at the end of the school year, provided that no damages occur.
Student housing has been a successful endeavour, and we are excited to offer this service for the 2011-2012 school year. Download the Deposit Agreement Form to secure your spot today!
Airport Pick Up
Vanguard College is located 45 minutes North of the Edmonton International Airport. If you need a ride from the airport simply let us know and we’ll be more than happy to pick you up.
Move in Help
Are you moving in to a new apartment and need some assistance? Let us know and we’ll do what we can to help you out.
Access to Bus and City Information
If you have questions about Edmonton or transportation stop by our recruitment office and they will provide you with information and answer any questions you may have as you begin to learn your way around the city.
Grocery Run
As our students live independently we acknowledge that for students without a car it can be difficult to make grocery store purchases, even if the store is a short bus ride away. As a result, we offer the grocery run service where students can take advantage of rides to and from the grocery store.
Safe Walk
The Vanguard College library is open until 9pm on the weeknights. We want our students to be safe and feel safe. We have set up the safe walk program where students can call other students so that no one walks home alone.
Housing Coordinator
If you are looking for a place or a roommate, our housing coordinator, Joy Dodd is available to assist you in your search. She can provide you with our housing guide for more information and recommendations in finding a place in the Westwood area of Edmonton. Finding a place where you – or better yet you and a roommate or two – can stay is not difficult in our area of Edmonton!
