If you're a sports fan, take in an Oilers game, and see the five time NHL Stanley Cup winners in action. Or, watch the Eskimos tackle the toughest opponents in rockin' CFL football action (just don't get too close!). You can also check out the Trappers as they swing into Triple A baseball action.

Maybe shopping is your thing (OK, you're a student, so its window shopping). Don't miss (as if you could!) West Edmonton Mall, the world's biggest shopping center. And in the summer, you can enjoy outdoor shopping at Whyte Avenue, and Edmonton's Downtown core, just minutes away from the Vanguard campus.

Or, is it culture you're after? Look no further! The Skyreach Center, Jubilee Auditorium and the new world-class Winspear center will provide musical experiences to suit anybody. With YC, Canada's biggest youth event, in Edmonton every year, you will also get a chance to hear and see the greatest Christian entertainment this world has to offer. Theatre enthusiasts will love the Citadel theatre, as well as the many festivals which go on all summer long. And, if it's history or science you are into, check out the Provincial Museum of Alberta, Fort Edmonton Park, Edmonton Space and Sciences Center and the Muttart Conservatory. Culture doesn't stop there either. You can explore Edmonton's ethnic backgrounds with China Town, Little Italy and the Avenue of Nations. Edmonton is even more cultured that the milk in some of our students' fridges! (or is that yogurt?)

Of course, we know the most important thing to you is education, right? With the University of Alberta just 2 kilometers away from Vanguard, you can suppliment your theology training with world class courses on almost anything! And because of close relationships between Vanguard and other colleges, universities and seminaries in the area, our students have library access to well over 100 000 theological volumes. EDE, WEM, skyline etc.
Finally, student life in Edmonton is unforgettable. Chapel services at Vanguard will shape you forever, as God gets a hold of your life through powerful worship and preaching.
