"Surrounded by the eighth world wonder, fifty voices ranging from babe to adult join in a chorus of praise to God. I am at Noah's Ark in the Philippines with the School of World Discipleship. My emphasis is in Children and Family Ministry (CFM). Throughout the past year, the multiple guest speakers as well as my professor have prepared me for my overseas work with children. In the past year, I have been given a greater understanding of Children's Ministry and its importance. the Kids Travel Company (KTC) outings have blessed me with practical experience to kids, teaching me how to relate Biblical truths creatively. Through camps, I have seen God moving in the generation of children today. Through the example of leaders I have seen that the power of prayer and intercession for children is the greatest responsibility I have for kids ministry. Through Vanguard College's CFM program, I have seen the power of Children's Ministry around the world!" ~ Rachel DeWaal, Emphasis Student |

"This year has been packed full of hands on opportunities that have really helped me become more confident in leading children’s ministries. I have enjoyed being able to work with other organizations such as Urban Promise in Vancouver. Being able to work with many kids from different backgrounds was very awesome experience and has helped me see the areas of children’s ministry that I am the best at and enjoy the most. I have enjoyed this one year in CMC and have learned so much experience that I can carry for the rest of my life." ~ Kerstie Kuhn, Grad 2008 |

"I came into this program with a love for working with kids, and will be leaving with that same passion but now with confidence! CFM is a great program that really helped me to go beyond my comfort zone and get to the point where I didn’t care how goofy I looked or what kind of outrageous things I was going to do. I learned so much about myself, my strengths and my weaknesses in ministry, but I also learned a lot about the kids I worked with. Each and every child has potential and sometimes just being there for them means more than we can imagine. This year has given me many amazing ministry experiences and opportunities, and I can truly say that I had the time of my life!" ~ Rachel Fehr, Grad 2008 |

"CFM has sharpened my ministry skills, and given me a greater passion to work with children. It has greatly helped me get to where I am today. I would highly recommend it to anyone who desires to work with children/families in any setting!" ~ Julie Palley, CFM Grad, 2005' |
