This course is a year-long apprenticeship in applying business as ministry principles in the marketplace. Participants will integrate academic studies with 12-16 hours per week of paid employment in an area that relates to their education, skills, and interests. Participants will also be expected to develop new skills and interests, and will receive regular feedback from mentors who model business as ministry in their daily lives. In addition to mentor meetings and employment hours, the apprenticeship will include seminars and workshops in which participants gain new perspectives on the theology of work, and debrief employment learnings and experiences. Throughout the apprenticeship, participants will identify personal strengths and growth areas, effective business principles, and ministry perspectives that they can apply in future career endeavors.
