Fundamentals of Music Writing 2

Course number: PS1251     Credit hours: 3 hrs

This course builds on the concepts from Theory I with greater complexity in the scales, modes, and chords studied.  Clef reading is expanded to include alto and tenor.  The exploration of musical construction, various score types, and transposition of B flat and F instruments provides an introduction to orchestration.  Material studied is foundational to the common practice of harmony.
