Pastoral Leadership in the Marketplace

Course number: PS3418     Credit hours: 3 hrs

This course challenges leaders to bridge the sacred/secular divide and demonstrate pastoral care for people in profit-oriented organizations. With practical focus on both “the leader” and “the leading”, participants will deepen their understanding in the areas of self-awareness, character development, mission and calling, decision-making, and team-building. Participants will also learn how to effectively lead people through transformative life experiences like career transitions, familial changes, and crisis or loss. The course will be highly interactive, with presentations from local business leaders and pastors, as well as an on-site visit to a local company. Classroom experiences will support practical learning opportunities through case studies, peer presentations, and team projects that challenge participants to apply pastoral leadership principles in their work, and throughout their lives.
