Old Testament Poetry: Psalms and Proverbs

This course is a study of two poetic books of the Old Testament: Psalms and Proverbs. Development in the literature as well as each book’s composition will be investigated. The nature and styles of Hebrew poetry, the use of this literature in early Israel, the theological emphasis of these books as well as their practical value in Christian ministry will be stressed.
