OT Historical Literature: Joshua-Kings

This course is an overview of the Biblical history from the Conquest and Settlement through the United and Divided Monarchies. The major characters including Joshua, the judges, the major prophets, and the kings, with special consideration of David, will be examined in detail. The themes of the captivity and restoration of Israel will also be explored This course will emphasize the place of the historical books within God’s progressive revelation, and its relevance for the Christian today.
