Student Life in the School of Worship

The School of Worship Studies is full of opportunities to grow community. Student Life is vibrant in SWS, and it's not hard to see why. Choir trips frequently cram you and your classmates on a bus or in a van, which makes for great bonding time!

You will find that life-lasting relationships will be forged during ministry experiences with the Choir, as you lead others in worship and pray for people.

Community Life Groups

Every Vanguard student becomes part of a Community Life Group, meeting for about and hour each week. These small groups or men or women serve as a sounding board when you have a tough week, prayer support, encouragement, discussion groups and just plain relaxation and fun time. What your group will do depends on what your interests are, but the goal of fellowship and prayer remain the standard.

Retreats and Conferences

Every year, SWS students take in a retreat together, to build program unity.

SWS students are also involved with the Breakforth Canada Conference. Taking in this huge Worship and Creative Arts and Renewal Conference is a highlight of the year, especially when you get to lead worship with the Vanguard Choir mainstage, with the likes of Paul Beloche!
