Vanguard College’s School of Pastoral Leadership is a center of faith and learning where tomorrow’s lay and vocational leadership are being accelerated into their preferred and called future with Jesus, the Pastor, as the central part of the experience. From the Department’s four streams of one, three, and four year training programs, our student’s are enabled to best fulfill their God given goals of leading His church to greater health.

Jesus’ central promise to His forever family members was that they might experience Joy, and have it to the fullest extent (John 10:10). Our goal in SPL is to apprentice with Him with such practical passion, that the lives of all our members would take on the taste and feel of that Joy, and invite others to experience it as well.

	"A Letter to Home: From Two Former SPL Students Doing Missions in Mexico" Pastors John and Stacey Brown Since we arrived here in Cuernavaca, Mexico in November, our main emphasis has been on learning Spanish. We’re been attending Spanish classes full-time on weekdays and getting lots of practice in day-to-day interaction with people. Up until just over a week ago, we were living with the pastors of our church here, Pastors Jacobo and Marjorie Mondragón. They have welcomed us so warmly that we feel like part of their family now.
