Rev. Dr. Gordon Franklin
Director, School of Pastoral Leadership

At one time a president of Vanguard College, Dr.Gordon Franlin has worn many, many hats here at the college! He now serves as a teacher at the college, an area that he loves. You will be challenged by his insights and excellent communication ability. If you are lucky - you will get to see him play his "guitar", and get just generally crazy in class! You'll never forget Dr. Franklin!

Rev. Mark Wall
Associate Director, School of Pastoral Leadership

Recently joining the SPL leadership team in our continued quest to develop “ thinkingworkers,” is a young man who exemplifies that goal, Mark Wall.  Mark has joined us after successfully giving spiritual leadership in both rural and major urban centers across western Canada. At Vanguard, you will meet him as our Dean of Students, but in LIFT and S.P.L. degree programs, you will walk with him though the exciting experiences of finding and serving in local church field education ministry . As our Associate Director, in charge of Practicums, Internships and Field Education, Mark provides practical and encouraging weekly classes where your ongoing journey of spiritual leadership preparation can be shared and strengthened. Come with a question and your story, and you’ll find practicum classes a very profitable and positive experience.

Rev. Brad Fawcett
 LIFT Director

…Around the campus, he is known for his frequent in-class quip, “…Now, love me on this, friends ”!!  And you won’t be around Brad Fawcett, our SPL one year L.I.F.T. program director, very long, until you will love and appreciate him as a real friend of students. With an infectious sense of humor, and unusual ability to demonstrate the practical relevance of the Word, Professor Fawcett has been mentoring young people into healthy leadership roles for over 25 years at Vanguard. He has become our “chief architect” in building an 8 month lay-learning experience we call Leaders in Frontline Training. Come prepared to take a journey with Brother Fawcett, which will help you develop into a dynamic spiritual lay leader in tomorrow’s emerging church.
