What is my time commitment for practical ministry experience?
As a student of Vanguard, you are required to put in a minimum of 6 hours of ministry per week, outside of class time. YMI wants you to experience all aspects of contemporary youth ministry, and so you will spend time in each of the "3 C's" (Church, Campus, Community) before you are done the program (4 Year Degree). What better way to train up for Youth Ministry than actually diving it to it while you train?!
To help with training and those hours required, an option of a Impact Team has been put together. The ministry options available causes needs to travel all over Alberta, preforming services, rallies, and retreats. The entire team is made up of students in the youth program, both from One-Year Certificate, and the Four-Year Degree. Unique ministry opportunities with other youth across the province are provided, as well as great relationship building within the team, on the roads... Relationships that will never be forgotten.
