Student Life in the Youth Ministry Institute

There is life as a Bible College student! Here at the Youth Ministry
Institute we are serious about ministry but we are also serious about
fun. Each year we begin with a retreat for all of the students in
the one year and the four year youth program. We also have parties
at the Ron Powell’s house, lunches together, and times to hang
out after class.
Community Life Groups
Every Vanguard student becomes part of a Community Life Group, meeting for about and hour each week. These small groups or men or women serve as a sounding board when you have a tough week, prayer support, encouragement, discussion groups and just plain relaxation and fun time. What your group will do depends on what your interests are, but the goal of fellowship and prayer remain the standard.
Retreats, Conferences and Events
Another big part of the program is attending YMLC, the Youth Ministry Leadership Conference in Alberta. This is a great time together learning, laughing and growing together!
A event that all the youth students take part in is the well-known YC, located here in Edmonton. This is to have a great time hanging out with 16,000 other teenagers and young adults!
