The intent of this course is to introduce you to the scientific study of child and adolescent development and apply this knowledge toward effective youth ministry. Although the volume of material in print on these two areas is vast, we will focus on the most important topics as they relate to youth and youth work. This course is introductory in nature so it will provide a basic understanding of adolescent development and foundational youth ministry principles that will serve as a basis for further study.
