What to Expect for Fall 2021

On July 1st, the province lifted the majority of Covid-19 restrictions in the province. In addition, Alberta Advanced Education announced that all post-secondary education and activities can resume without restrictions.

As such, we are carefully planning for a safe return to normal on-campus operations for the upcoming fall term. There will be more updates to come in the following weeks, however please take note the following:

  • Vaccines are not required to attend campus, however, we encourage all those eligible to be immunized with both first and second doses, prior to the term starting.

  • Masks will not be required, but we are happy for those who need to wear a mask to continue to do so.

  • Distancing is no longer required and as such classrooms will return to normal layouts.

  • We will continue to ask staff and students to stay home if they are sick and follow appropriate isolation/quarantine protocols.

  • Students and staff will be encouraged to follow proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette.

  • We will work quickly to respond to any Covid-19 cases on campus.

  • Frequent cleaning and sanitization processes will be followed.

  • Hand sanitizer will be provided at the main entrance and in each classroom.

  • Weekly Chapel services will take place in the College chapel on Mondays.

  • Student Housing will be offered with no restrictions in place.

  • We are hopeful to return to regular community life activities.

  • Kick-off events will take place but may have some modifications:

    • The all school retreat (Fusion) will take place at North Pointe Community Church on September 7th.

    • Further information on program retreats will follow in due course.

  • Students not comfortable with a return to campus classes may consider Vanguard Online for their studies.
