Bachelor of Theology
Vanguard’s Christian Ministry program is designed to work with students in the diversity of their call and service in the Kingdom. This degree was created for students with interests or a calling outside of our other programs offered at Vanguard, or with interests or a calling that combines the programs we currently offer. It will enable students to develop their unique gifts, and character through custom elective options, tailored to suit their calling while developing a strong biblical and theological foundation. Students will gain and grow in valuable professional skill sets while learning how to be effective for the Kingdom wherever they are planted – whether it is in a church, personal business, corporate organization or other career path.
As with all of our programs at Vanguard, from the first day until graduation, students will experience community through school-wide retreats, chapels and events. Christian Ministry students have the benefit of learning from a variety of practitioners who will all speak into the various areas of their life. Beyond the classroom, there will be plenty of opportunities to grow in your gifts and abilities through ministry trips, internships and practicums. By taking classes both at Vanguard and at NAIT, you will be able to experience the enriching community here on campus as we journey together, while expanding your network and ministry reach at NAIT.
This degree allows the student who has done post-secondary education elsewhere to transfer in more courses beyond Bible and Theology. Throughout your degree, you will continue to build in the theological and biblical courses while having a variety of electives each year. These electives can be taken from other programs offered by Vanguard, or at NAIT. Students also have the ability to add our new Biblical Research minor which gives them the opportunity to prepare a thesis in pursuit of a master’s degree after their studies at Vanguard.
