Students must arrange to have official high school and any other official transcripts sent to the Registrar’s Office. If you are still attending high school when applying, please forward interim grades from your Grade 12 year. Alberta students use this link to order your high school transcripts. You can submit a Detailed Academic Report as an interim transcript. (PLEASE NOTE: Vanguard is not a part of ApplyAlberta so you have to go to "Order Transcripts Using myPass")
Photocopies from the student are only considered interim and are not official transcripts. If you send an interim transcript or order a transcript before you complete your High School Diploma, you will still need to order an official transcript once your diploma is completed.
An official transcript is one that has been received directly from the institution. Official transcripts are printed on official transcript paper and must bear an embossed or raised seal. (See Sample)

Frequently Asked Questions
How many students attend Vanguard?
We have approximately 250 students studying on campus and online.
How big are the classes?
Is Vanguard accredited?
We are fully accredited with ABHE (Association for Biblical Higher Education). ABHE is a member of the Commission on Recognition of Post-secondary Accreditation (C.O.R.P.A.), the body that provides accreditation of all recognized American universities, colleges and professional preparation programs. It is also responsible to CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation).
Can I get transfer credit from courses taken at another college or university?
Vanguard considers transfer credit from a variety of accredited post-secondary institutions. You would just need to have your transcripts sent from the institution where the credits were earned and our Registrar will then determine if a course is comparable to a Vanguard Course.
Will the courses that I take at Vanguard transfer to another college or university?
Because Vanguard is accredited, many of your courses will transfer to another Christian college or university. Transfer credit to a secular institution would be less but some credits may qualify for transfer. We encourage you to contact the institution you would like to transfer into to inquire about their policies on transferring credits from Christian colleges
Is Vanguard affiliated with a denomination?
Vanguard is affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). However, our students come from a variety of denominational backgrounds.
Do you have dorms?
No, we do not have dorms. Instead we have student housing. These are houses within walking distance to our campus that are leased to first year students.
Are there scholarships or bursaries available from Vanguard?
Yes! Scholarships and bursaries are available to new and returning students. New students can get up to $4,000 in scholarships and bursaries guaranteed as long as they apply and get accepted by July 1.
Check out our Scholarships and Bursaries page for more information.
